Who will Represent Cameroon at Demo Africa 2018?

Congratulations to Zuoix, MooExams and Dikorah for emerging winners of the Demo Africa Innovation tour in Cameroon. These are the three startups who will represent Cameroon in the semifinals of the Demo Africa competition.

These startups have been chosen by a jury of 5 competent judges at ActivSpaces  during the Demo Africa Innovation Tour in Cameroon on Thursday July 5, 2018 . ActivSpaces partners with Demo Africa this year to aid select the best innovations in Cameroon. The aim of the startup launchpad competition remains to help young African startups showcase their innovations to the world.

Nine (9) out of the twenty-two (22) startups who applied for the city tour competition  pitched to the judges at the end of which the best three convincing and problem-solving ideas were chosen.

Application portals were opened online by Demo Africa for startups to apply prior to this event. Those whose startups met the criteria for the competition were selected to pitch in Douala.

Other startups who showcased their products at the event include;

  1. Mosa by Fomba Collins
  2. Digital Renter by Fongoh Martin
  3. VEhSEh by Eruck Emmanuel
  4. ASTA by Thierry Tayou
  5. Best Brains International by Derick Tumenta
  6. AMZILL by Fadillah Tchoumba.

Zuoix, MooExams and Dikorah will compete with other named winners from different African countries at the semifinals. From the semifinals, the best will be sent to Morocco for the final pitching competition. So, the tour in Douala was just a step into the competition.


What then happens to the winners in Morocco?

  • Access tools worth more than US$120,000 from Microsoft
  • Access infrastructure worth more than US$15,000 from AWS
  • Mentorship and coaching
  • Meet investors and buyers
  • Publicity for their startup
  • A chance to join a fully paid US Innovation Tour
  • Showcase product at the event


Thirty companies will be selected to launch their products at the main event in October. The 30 companies will also  attend a 2-day Bootcamp in preparation for their launch and software and services worth more than US $150,000 each for the next three years. DEMO Africa entrepreneurs are equipped with the knowledge, mentor ship, tools, connections, financing and supportive community that they need to survive and grow their businesses.
