Danielle Akini Leaves Position of Community Development Specialist of ActivSpaces Douala

The ActivSpaces Team is announcing that Danielle Akini, the former Community Development Specialist of ActivSpaces Douala has left the position. Danielle Akini is without any fear of contradiction an excellent leader of the Douala Tech Community. She has contributed in a large way to build a strong code and startup culture in the ActivSpaces community. Danielle is a tough fighter and a great example for several girls (and guys) to follow.

Danielle applied for a resignation a few months ago so that she could dedicate all her energies in her social entrepreneurial venture “The Genius Center” where she helps kids learn her to code and work with Raspberry Pi. She believes Genius Center needs all her attention as she looks for ways to make it better and impact the lives of more kids.

On Monday, the 11th of April, the ActivSpaces Community in Douala came together to celebrate her send off. It was a beautiful scene with people sharing their emotions and experiences on how Danielle had touched (and changed) their lives. Among others, was her boss and mentor, Rebecca Enonchong, who wished her well and congratulated her for her energy and strong desire to beat the numbers she needs to attain for her KPIs.

Danielle is the kind of person who will do 6 if you asked for 4, and would do 60 if you asked for 40. All you need is to give her the numbers, and she will scheme up a strategy to come up strraight with her metrics.

Here are some pictures taken during her send off.
